Call for NOMINATIONS of DIRECTORS on the BOARD of RNA CANADA ARN
The Nomination and Election Committee of RNA Canada ARN is seeking to identify candidates for election on its Board of Directors, effective January 2024. Up to fifteen (15) seats on the Board of Directors are available. Nominations permitting, the Board will include Directors from the following 7 regions: Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, Prairies, Alberta, British Columbia, and Northern Canada. In addition, eight (8) at-large Directors may be elected to serve on the Board (with up to 4 from any one region).
The main responsibility of the new RNA Canada ARN Board of Directors is to establish goals as well as provide guidance, advice and oversight for the executive team in the implementation of policies and plans set forth by the Board. Consequently, Directors should possess a broad range of experience and expertise in leading scientific research programs in industry and/or academia, as well as a well-established presence within the Canadian research ecosystem. Positions are three-year terms or until the election of their successor. Approximately six (6) Board Meetings are expected per year. Candidates must be current members of RNA Canada ARN. Any eligible RNA Canada ARN member interested in nominating themselves for this position is encouraged to submit their name, a photograph, a biosketch (15 lines max) and a description of interest and/or qualification (15 lines max) at https://forms.gle/qW6mMFzmYCz5hjkf8 by October 31, 2023. Additionally, if you would like to nominate a colleague to serve, please confirm with that individual that he/she is willing to serve and please provide their name, photograph, biosketch and a description of their qualifications. Names, photographs, biosketches and description of candidates will be posted on the RNA Canada ARN online voting site, and may be circulated to members.

Appel à CANDIDATURES pour le POSTE de MEMBRES du CONSEIL d’ADMINISTRATION de RNA CANADA ARN
Le Comité de Nomination et d’Élection de RNA Canada ARN est à la recherche de candidats pour être élus comme membres au sein de son Conseil d’Administration, à compter de janvier 2024. Jusqu’à quinze (15) postes au Conseil d’Administration sont disponibles. En conséquence, les membres du Conseil devraient posséder une vaste expérience et une expertise dans la direction de programmes de recherche scientifique dans l’industrie et/ou le milieu académique, ainsi qu’une présence bien établie au sein de l’écosystème de la recherche canadienne. Les mandats sont de trois ans ou jusqu’à l’élection de leur successeur. Environ six (6) réunions du Conseil sont prévues chaque année.
