RNA Canada is dedicated to advancing RNA research and biotechnology across Canada, providing resources, support, and collaboration opportunities for scientists and industry professionals. Here are common FAQs for membership to this organization.

Eligibility depends on the membership type, but generally includes principal investigators, trainees (students and postdocs), research staff in academia or industry in Canada, Canadians abroad, non-researcher members of academia/industry, and retired members. Choose the membership that aligns with your professional role.

Membership benefits vary by level and include voting rights, professional development, event discounts, networking opportunities, research collaboration, community engagement, visibility through awards, access to infrastructure, and public outreach involvement.

To register, simply go to the Member Registration page, found under the Members item on the main menu at the top. Follow the prompts to complete your registration and join our community! 

We offer four types of memberships with annual fees ranging from $60 to $200, depending on the level of access and benefits you choose. Visit our Memberships page in the Members section to explore the options and find the right fit for you.

RNA Canada ARN (formerly the Canadian Consortium of RNA Researchers, C2R2) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2023. It unites leading RNA scientists from universities, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical companies across Canada, forming a network dedicated to advancing RNA biology. By focusing on therapeutic, diagnostic, agricultural, and biotechnological innovations, RNA Canada ARN aims to solve today’s challenges and improve the lives of Canadians. The organization is committed to training the next generation of RNA researchers and engaging with the public to increase awareness and accessibility of RNA technologies. Through collaboration with the government, RNA Canada ARN helps set research priorities that drive economic growth and enhance the well-being of Canadians.

No. There are two related fields due to the limitations of the software used for registration. Please simply enter your company, university, research institute in both of these fields.
We understand that not everyone has their own website. For trainees at all levels, you can enter your LinkedIn page or the website of the lab in which you are training. For PIs or industry researchers, you can enter your LinkedIn page, or a link to your individual profile from your university’s or company’s website.
Here, please simply copy and paste the text below the box (undergraduates, MSc students, PhD students, etc.) and after each category, enter the number of each type of trainee/employee in your lab. This will help us to develop a rough estimate of the number of RNA researchers within our community and plan for educational initiatives.
