Share your RNA story in 120 seconds or less! 🧬

We invite all RNA Canada members to create a short video showcasing what excites them about RNA through science communication, research, creativity or their own scientific journey. Entries may be submitted individually or as a team!

Your video could feature:

• An RNA concept (e.g., RNA splicing, mRNA vaccines)

• Your research (What research question are you trying to answer? Why is it exciting?)

• An experimental or computational technique (e.g., RNA-seq, CRISPR)

• Life as an RNA researcher (e.g., a day in the lab, tips on how to fully enjoy conferences)

• An RNA discovery or breakthrough that inspires you

• A creative take on RNA (e.g., music, animation)

Videos must be 120 seconds or less and formatted for Instagram Reels/Youtube Shorts (vertical, 9:16 recommended).

All submitted videos will be featured on the RNA Canada Instagram and Youtube accounts. The winners will be determined by public voting based on the number of likes. The top two videos will receive $200 (1st place) and $150 (2nd place) 🏆. Winners will be announced during the last week of September and prizes will be presented at RiboClub 2026.
