Announcing New RNA Canada ARN Board Members!
Thanks to everyone who participated in Monday’s RNA Canada ARN 2026 Annual General Meeting! It was wonderful to see so many friendly faces from our community gathered together; your support is what drives RNA Canada ARN forward!
Election Results
During the meeting, we elected five new members of our Board of Directors:
Ontario Representative: Julie Claycomb
Québec Representative: Sherif Abou Elala
At-large Representatives: Steve Whyard (Prairies), Pascale Legault (Québec), John Calarco (Ontario)
Thanks to all of the candidates for your willingness to serve, and congratulations to the newly-elected Directors. 🎉
Organization Report for 2025
As discussed during the meeting, we are providing the President’s Report for our 2025 activites and slide deck from today’s meeting (attached, below). Please let us know if you have any questions.
Get Involved!
Finally, we invite anyone who is interested to reach out and get involved-there are many committees that could benefit from additional members! There is still much work to do as we develop a national RNA strategy, cultivate relationships with different stakeholders, and advocate for increased funding for RNA research. Help us grow RNA Canada ARN in 2026! 🍁
With thanks and best wishes for a successful year,
—
