There is only one week left to the start of RNA Canada ARN 2024, taking place in Ottawa, ON between September 30th and October 4th, 2024.
The conference will feature many of Canada’s and the world’s top RNA scientists for the purpose of promoting and augmenting RNA science in Canada.
RNA Canada ARN is thrilled to host Dr. Tom Cech, winner of the Nobel prize in Chemistry in 1989 for the discovery of catalytic RNA, and Dr. Phil Sharp, winner of the Nobel prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1993 for the discovery of RNA splicing.
Dr. Sharp will be giving the opening keynote address, entitled RNA Biology to Therapeutics: An Emerging Story (Monday, September 30th, 18:45 – 19:15). He will also be participating on a panel discussion entitled Promises and Challenges of RNA-based Medicines (Tuesday, October 1st, 8:25 – 10:00) and will be taking part in the concluding panel discussion on Friday, October 4th.
Dr. Cech will be speaking in a public session, including members of government, with a talk entitled RNA: A catalyst for public engagement in science (session: Wednesday, October 2nd, 14:45 – 17:10)
See you in one week!
