RNA Canada ARN 2024 is off to a spectacular start!  RNA scientists from all over Canada and from around the world have converged on Ottawa to showcase the power and potential of RNA to revolutionize the lives of Canadians.

The meeting opened with an inspirational and thoughtful opening address by Elder Shirley Tolley as well as a performance by members of the local Algonquin Indigenous community in commemoration of Truth and Reconciliation Day.

The evening was hosted by Tasha Kheiriddin (political analyst and regular contributor for the National Post).  After an opening address by the RNA Canada ARN president Dr. Sherif Abou Elela, in which he welcomed the guests and outline the mission of RNA Canada ARN, the evening’s keynote speaker, Dr. Phillip Sharp (MIT), was introduced by Dr. Ben Blencowe (U. of Toronto).

The evening concluded with an exciting panel discussion on Revolutionizing RNA research: How Industry and RNA biologists can team up to meet changing needs.
