RNA Canada ARN congratulates Dr. Benoit Chabot on his recent spotlight by the RNA Society!
One of Canada’s leading researchers on RNA splicing, alternative splicing and associated RNA therapies, Dr. Benoit Chabot (U. de Sherbrooke), has been recently profiled by the RNA Society.
Benoit trained in Joan Steitz’s lab at Yale before starting at the Université de Sherbrooke where he became one of the founding members of the Riboclub. In addition to his pioneering work on RNA splicing and associated translational research, he has had a major leadership role in the RNA Society, chairing the Meetings Committee and receiving the RNA Society Lifetime Achievement in Service Award in 2023.
